Pinewood Pro is proud to have helped manage pinewood derby car races, volunteered at pinewood derby races, donated to needy scouts, Cub Scout Packs and Boy Scouts every year since we started Pinewood Pro in 1999.
Pinewood Pro Donations
As a former Cub Scout and father of a Boy Scout (that's my son as a Cub Scout in the upper right after winning a Pinewood Derby race), we believe very strongly in the values of scouting and helping by giving back to Scouting and pinewood derby car racing.

Tips & Hints
Spin each wheel and axle and count the number of revolutions. Keep the slowest pair together and replace them with a faster set.
Tungsten Putty is ideal for getting your car up to the maximum 5 oz limit. Drill a hole in the bottom of your car and insert Pinewood Pro Putty as the last step to bring your car to 5.0 oz. If the official scale weighs you in at 5.1 oz, simply remove a small amount of putty to bring it back to 5.0 oz.
Crooked axle slots are perhaps the number one reason cars crash into the lane guides. Drill the axle slot with a drill press or the PRO Driller to be sure your axles go in straight and are square to the block.

Great tips in your Winning Secrets book! This was our first year and my son was the overall District Winner. There were 250 racers at the District race so I'm guessing we have something like 1,000 scouts in our district. With that type of competition you need these tips to be competitive.

Thank you for all of the information. We had fun making the car! We're going on to the Regionals, as our car to 1st place in our den!
- Lou from IN
James won his first pack race and also won the district race. He never lost a race using your products. Thank you for all you are doing.
