    How Brick Derby works

Regular toy wheels and axles aren't built for a derby track: the spacing is off, the clearance is wrong, and the wheels are slow. Our chassis fixes all three, with ultra-lite wheels and nickel-plated speed axles spaced to fit the track. Your building block creation snaps right on top. Add our 2x2 zinc weights toward the rear for speed, and keep your car under 4 inches tall so it clears the finish gate. For lubricant, use one drop of NyOil II per axle. Graphite can stain your blocks and loosen their connections.

    Racing as a group

Our Colors, Den, Party, and Derby Day bundles pair 5 to 30 chassis with matching sets of weights, so every racer starts with the same setup. Learn more in What is Brick Derby?, Brick Derby race rules, and how to run a Brick Derby race.
