The Black Lightning is a super fast pre-built pinewood derby car designed to meet BSA rules. It is an Official BSA car block, BSA axles and BSA wheels from the Cub Scout kit. This car has been pre-weighted, painted, track tested, and supplied with our BSA precision lathed Speed Wheels and BSA polished axles.
If you are out of time and still want to compete in your race, this car is for you.
It has these features:
Important! Add Pinewood Pro graphite to lube your axles...spin your wheels and add more! Do Not use Nyoil on this car.

My Son was amazed!!

Really Fast..
Funny story... Won every race.. except one were another cars wheel fell of an interfered.. The race winner was determined by Average time.. so the fastest car did not win.. The only car that beat this was the super car also bought from your site.. In the unlimited division this came in 2nd and the other car come first.. This car beat our track record.. then the super car beat that..

Pleasant Surprise!!!!
Didn't have time to make a car this year. 3.08-3.11's over 8 runs on a rough 32" wooden track. Beat the eventual winner in one out of 3 races. (each lane influenced the final time) Took 1st in class and 3rd overall in a 50 car field. Outstanding job!!

Car looks too good. Let your 8 year old paint over the high gloss finish and add stickers to personalize it. Gives them ownership of the car.

Awesome car
This car is awesome fast and looks great. We won 1st place in our Pack race. Our District race wasnt as good. Im not sure if it was the track or what but our car raced progressively worse on each run. Overall, this was an awesome car and highly recommend it.

Great car 2nd overall place
My kids did their own cars for the last 4 years and the car was always dead last on every heat. I felt disadvantaged with families that take these derby's very seriously. With this car we won 2nd place overall on our pack. My kid is very very happy

Out of Time, JUST IN TIME!!
Dumped on by parents with only days to go. Grandson picked decals and paint. Won FIRST PLACE and BEST IN SHOW! When District Race Day came, expected to faint. Won FIRST PLACE IN GROUP and THIRD PLACE OVERALL! Grandson has four big trophies and a great big smile. Grandpa was only one to really know.

The car has a great paint job and is fast out of the box. We won the 1st in Den, 2nd in Pack and 1st in District PWD with ours and all we did was add Pro lube to the wheels and that was it

This car is great! Raced against 48 other cars and the race wasn't even close...it was still building up speed on the flat part of track and was so fast it went off the end of the track!! We had to put a pillow to catch it each time!

Car did okay performance wise, The bottom of the car was left unfinished and the weights were BB’s and a little sloppy looking. Overall, it was as advertised. Bit pricey for what you get
