AWANA Grand Prix PRO Derby Wheels (4) | Graphite Coated

We upgraded these Official AWANA® derby wheels with our precision lathing process and exclusive graphite coating, resulting in faster starts and higher speeds that will make competitors take note!

Wheel details:

• All four wheels are uniformly processed. No need for mold matching, which is largely disproven as a legitimate advantage!

• Precision lathed and tuned across five areas (outside tread, inside tread, rims, outer hub, and back of hub) for reduced weight and friction

• Outside tread is trued to be perfectly concentric with the bore

• Material removed from inside each wheel for balance, fast starts, and higher speed

• Hub is squared to reduce wobble where the wheel touches the car body

• Each wheel weighs 1.5 g / 0.056 oz vs. stock wheels at 2.3 g / 0.081 oz

• Exclusive graphite coating on the treads and hubs reduces friction where the wheel contacts the car and the track

Important Note on Graphite Coated Derby Wheels: Our exclusive graphite coating has a visible silver finish. We encourage checking with your race manager to ensure compliance. Loose graphite should also be applied to coated wheels for best results.

Additionally these wheels should be legal in Awana® International races that permit removing mold marks and truing up the wheels to remove imperfections. However, rules are different for every race. Always read your race rules and ask your race manager to stay compliant!
