Precision cut Corvette pinewood derby car body. Includes pre-drilled weight holes.
Paint this car as is or do a light sanding, or even make new cuts to personalize it to make it your own.
This is a BSA block with axle slots that conforms to all Cub Scout rules.
The approximate weight of this car is 2.5 oz, plus or minus .3 oz. You will need to add about 2 to 2.5 oz of weight.
We drilled two 3/8" holes in the back of the car so you can insert Tungsten cylinder weights or Zinc round weights.
Cover the weight holes with wood putty for a clean, finished look.
This is a car body only and does not include wheels or axles.
We did the hard part, you have fun painting and decorating!

Precut
This car is cut pretty good - just needed a bit of finish sanding and was ready for the paint and decals. We got the firebird decals here as well.

Pre drilled weight holes are great but lots of room if use tungsten. Need to use plenty of wood filler, then remove excess weight (.5) from bottom of car. PWD this week. Will see how it performs.

Just a little sanding needed, which was probably overkill on my part. The kids liked painting the cars. Super easy to get the car ready to race in a limited time frame with limited skill!

Excellent first time car!
Overall a great car, especially for the novice parent child team. As I said, it you aren't careful, the wheel cuts split easily, but overall it was fine. My daughter had fun decorating this car as a Barbie Speed Racer with pink paint and silver glitter!
