Fastest car in the entire meet
We built 2 cars for my grandson this year. 1 for his town meet and 1 for the regional meet. He never lost a heat. At the regional meet the car set 4 track records. He is a Wolf and 1 tiger heat had a faster time by .002 seconds. Otherwise he has the next 6 fastest times of he day. Axels,, wheels, square mounting holes, 5 coats of polyurethane, and good weight placement. WOW!

Very Fast
I have used them before for my sons car. He placed 2nd. The last set we bought was okay. One seemed kinda bent. Noticed the car was going to the left. Will use them again but will take a double check to see if its level.

Just enough speed
I was glad we ordered the Pro Super Speed axles. My son is a Tiger Cub and his car won the pack pinewood derby. He won every race, but all were close and I'm sure the axles were a big reason for his success.

Great as always
These worked very well. I have used these in the past with great results. We are still waiting on the results of the most recent derby, but it looked preety good. At least 1st place in the den, but there were a few faster cars on the track. This was more due to the design of the car and a small alignment issue.

Smooth!
Not allowed to use graphite in our district. But with these axles, the speed difference was obvious as we won every race! Much, much easier than sanding and polishing everything on your own!

I purchased these and Pinewood Derby BSA Speed Wheels - precision lathed (set of 4 for my sons car. With these and help of Pinewood Derby Secrets his Batman car won 14 of 16 races ( 2 second places) and won 1st place in den and 1st place in pack! He also had Track Record on his first run. We bought the axles and Speed Wheels together. Did no other work on the axles and wheels besides graphite. Took first in his Webelos 2 dens and placed fifth in the pack of 88. Difference between first and fifth was a couple tenths. Best finish ever by our team. Trophy looks nice!

Super fast axles
Always make sure you get tons of graphite packed into the grooves. The kids weren't allowed to relube during the race or make practice runs, so lube up before the race.

Super fast
My son's pinewood derby race was yesterday. With these pro super speed axles he won 1st place in the pack! Never lost a race. Times were very consistent between races too. Last year (his first race) his car wasn't good at all, he didn't win a single race and usually came in last. Not this year! Now off to districts next month.

Pinewood Pro's speed axles + lathed wheels performed as advertised. Car ran straight with no wobble. I added a little grafite and won every race by at least a foot. These saved me a lot of time of doing them myself

Derby Axles are Winners
Loved the axles, The ones that came in the original box with the wood required so much work on them that the heads fell off. Yours were polished groved and ready to go. We attached them ran graphite in to the back side of the wheel and ran them with a drummel tool intill they sounded smooth and even. My boys took first and second out of a field of 18. Thanks I will be buying next year.

Good product
Great axles, all the polishing and prep work has been completed, the only thing left to do is install them and add graphite. I know of some other people that bought these same axles or similar products but had poor results, keep in mind the axles still need to be installed right so the car rolls true. If you build a good car and install these axles correctly you will have a fast car. My boys took first place in both of their divisions!

A must have.
I belive that these along with the tires are the single biggest advantage to have. They are perfectly straight and super smooth. They also weigh within .01g of each other so you know they are balanced.

Worth the Money
Bought two sets-one for each boy. Finished 2nd and 3rd out of 40 cars in each race. Only lost each race by a split second and lost mostly because of the lane we raced in.

Even though these axles are for the BSA wheels, they worked well for the RA thin wheels. My child actually took first place! There were others that had nickel plated axles, but they finished in the lower top ten. I would recommend these over the others on the web since they were a great help for a 1st place out of 54 competing cars.

The axles worked great. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to eliminate all the hassle associated with trying to smooth the axles supplied in the kit and wanting to speed up the car. Car performed great. Missed overall champion by only an inch.

Super Fast
I purchased these along with the BSA speed wheels, and they did as promised. The car was the fastest ever on the track at the pack level. Took first in the Den and Best time in the pack by nearly a tenth of a second. Took second in District race due to looser rules than our pack, so we were a little slower, but only by five hundredths of a second. Not too bad. Next year we will build two cars, one matching the pack rules and one matching the district rules.

If the pack race was any indication of performance, then these things rock! Both cars that had these axles came in first in their division and one came in first overall...and we did absolutely nothing to the wheels themselves!

Worth Every Penny!
Two years I've worked on axles myself, sanding, trimming, sanding, trying to get the things mirror-finish smooth, without burrs, and every year we've come in 2nd. This year I bought these. They're beautiful! Silly to call 4 little nails beautiful? Maybe - but this year we came in first, and I swear I think it was the axles.

My 8 year old made his own car. This was a way that I could get involved without notice. He took second place overall behind car that was statedly made by the father with no help from the scout himself. My son made his car and that gave him pride.

Like you right now, I read all the reviews of people on this website and others saying their axles are the best axles on the market. These are very good axles. However, they are a different color tint than BSA axles. So if only BSA axles are legal, they may not make it past inspection.

Great product. Most of the other participants that didn't purchase this product had to use sand paper and a dremel to get a smooth axles. This product took away the hard work and worked great.

Awesome axles
I had ordered theses axles for my sons pine wood derby car just to see if it really does improve the speed of the car and the results show positive. Wheels spin forever on these axles. Track record 2 of the 4 runs, hitting 198.32 mph max. These both beat my son's track records back in 2019 of 194.91 mph.
