    Weight Where You Want It
Tungsten putty is not cheap, but it allows you to add fractions of weight exactly where you want. It remains sticky afterward, so you can remove what you don't need, if necessary.

Great product to add last minute weight
This stuff works just as advertised. I use it at weigh in's, because scales sometimes vary a little. My son's car weighed in .1 ounces under weight at his last race and I just pinched a little bit of this stuff off and stuck it onto the bottom of his car. The car weighed in right at 5 ounces after that. No issues with it coming loose. In my opinion, this is the easiest, reliable way to get your car to that perfect weight.

    from sticky to hard
Last year this was too sticky. This year is was hard to pull off and form. Colder temps have something to do with it, but I feel somewhere between last year and this year's pliability would be perfect!

    Great putty!
I use it to add weight to model train locomotives for extra pulling power. This is the best solution I've found in years. The putty holds its shape and adheres nicely to the interior of model steam engine bodies. Nothing works better!

Very Useful for last minute weight addiitons
I used this putty for weigh in day to add last minute weight to my car as well as my son's car. I highly recommend making the investment for the last minute weight addition.

This product is very sticky so you can place it in a small hole on the underside of car to adjust weight and it will stay put.

    Valuable, but STICKY
Putty worked great for adding just that little bit extra needed in the back, where there wasn't any leftover room for more standard weights. It is VERY sticky and gets all over your fingers. Directions indicate that making it cold helps out with that, but I didn't try it.

    Sticky is Good
used this to cover the holes where I put my tungsten weights as well as to secure weights on the underside of the car. I read some where that you can reduce the stickiness by putting it in the freezer and that works. It doesn't have to be in there very long either. I was able to get paint to adhere to it to cover up the holes. I have only used tungsten once and we won. It was suggested to me by a winner last year so I tried it this year. You can definitely fine tune your center of gravity using tungsten.

    Putty big advantage at weigh-in
My son had an opportunity to try the tungsten putty with his car this year. He used the tungsten weights in the rear to get close to the 5.0 oz weight limit. He had me drill one last hole in the bottom of the body for adding the last .5 oz or so of weight using the putty. This put the car slightly above the weight limit. However, at the official weigh-in he used a paper clip to scoop out just enough to get the car to the 5 oz limit. His car came in 2nd in his troop.

    Nice Control
I purchased this on a whim as I usually use the bags of 1/2 oz tungsten weights and the tungsten powder to get my cars as close the 5.0 oz as possible. But my scale measures a bit lighter so we are always somewhere between .05 to .15 oz lighter than we could be. Put this in my pocket and headed to the weigh-in. This could not have been any easier. Cars were a bit light, pulled off a bit and embedded into a small groove on the car, reweigh, a little more, and voila! DONE!! A lot of the other dads were weighing, drilling, gluing, and then having to add more weight. This is now in my race night bucket as yet another secret weapon to getting maximum speed.

    Neat stuff
Neat stuff. Used for a Pine wood derby race. Its always difficult trying to get the car to weight just what you want and then when you arrive at the race the scale always measures differently. This allows you to remove a small bit without drilling holes taking the car apart. My son was very happy with it. It softens up and easy to use.

    Good Stuff!
I was really new to this product and needed something to add and subtract weight easily. This is the product. To can scrap off minute amounts of this Tungsten Putty as it does not harden until days later. We were able to achieve exactly 5 oz. due to this putty's ability to add and subtract during weigh in. We also used in in drilled holes underneath the car in addition to quarters and it held the quarters in place - but it did take a bit of work to make sure it held all the quarters in. But I would certainly not do another Pinewood Derby race without this stuff again. Awesome!

    This Stuff is GREAT!
Last year, my sons car was spot on at 5 oz for the pack race. I was unable to take it personally to checkin for the district race. The car was too heavy, so one of the dads drilled several holes in the car to bring the weight back down. This year, I placed this putty in a 3/4" hole (plugged with a cork trimmed flush with the car) and was able to fine tune the weight to any official race scale. We will NEVER go without this again!

    Tungsten Putty
This putty was a great tool for use in obtaining weight to our car. Since scales can be off slightly, my scale weighed the car at perfect weight and the official derby scale weighed it just a little too much. Easy, I just pinched off a slight amount of the putty and the car was at the perfect weight.
