worth every penny
my son had his first cub scout derby and I wanted him to have some success while also involving him heavily in the process. I decided to go with these axles and the lathed wheels to overcome our inexperience. To my sons and my delightful surprise, we won! We didnt win every heat but we had the overall fastest times. Priceless to see the beaming pride on my sons face knowing he did a lot of the work. Also nice for me to see the bewilderment on the faces of the other dads that clearly did the entire car and lost to my sons car that looked like a 7 yr olds car. Thanks!

Everything it was said to be
Combined with the precision speed wheels they were faster than any other competitor in my son's pack and all I did was install them on the car. We even beat the person who wins every year! These axles and the speed wheels ROCK!!!

Went to regionals
Won den, finished 4th out of 36 in pack, went to regional were we again finished 4th out of 36 cars by 6 miliseconds. Felt really good this year to actually be in the hunt. Overall shaved off a lot of time from last year. Will be acquiring another set for son's final race next year

Axles worked great!

A must have.
This was my grandsons first derby so we decided on a set of these and I have to say they helped because he won all 8 races and took first for fastest. We had a better set of tires to; but axels? I gotta believe help a whole bunch. Worth the investment.

Great Product
I purchased two sets of grooved graphite coated speed axles and two sets of speed wheels. One of my sons took third place in Bears and the other took 2nd in Weeblos and 3rd fastest car out of 64 entries. He would have placed even higher but the car developed a wooble on the last of 4 races due to a nail not be replaced all the way after lubrication. Highly recommend this product.

BSA nails really work
My six year old attached the wheels to his pinwood derby car and was second in his Pack, being beat only by an older cub socut (the son of a rocket scientist - yes a real rocket scinetist) who used CAD to design and cut his car.
