    BSA Pinewood Derby Axles

    Our BSA pinewood derby axles start as official Scout kit axles, and we do the prep work for you. We hand-select straight axles, remove the burrs and crimp marks, and polish them so your wheels spin with less friction. Each upgrade below builds on the one before it.

    Upgrade your axles, step by step

    1. Polished BSA Axles: burrs and crimp marks removed, then polished smooth.
    2. Graphite-Coated BSA Axles: polished axles with graphite baked on, so they stay lubricated for 25 or more runs in our testing.
    3. Grooved and Graphite-Coated BSA Axles: our fastest BSA axle, with friction-reducing grooves and graphite coating.

    Bent BSA axles

    For steering and rail rider builds, choose a 1.5° bent steering axle for the front or a set of two 2.5° bent axles for the rear, each in polished or graphite-coated versions.

    Graphite-coated axles look darker than plain ones, so check your race rules. You'll still want to add our PRO Graphite to the wheel bore. Pair your axles with our BSA wheels.
