Joe,
Just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for some great
products,
especially the super speed axles. For years, I've tried to get my
axles
perfect, and frankly had given up.
I took these axles right out of their
bags three days before the race, lubed them up, spun the
wheels on them a
few times, and glued them in place.
The BSA speed wheels were also a very welcomed purchase. Perfectly
round
and no doubt they were within the rules. I was reluctant to purchase
the
Pro Speed Wheels for that concern, but saw several graphited wheels
in the
race, so I will be stepping up next year. True to
your advertising, they spun true.
I know that reducing friction is key to winning, and these axles
and wheels
were the fastest on the track. We beat all but
the second place car by at
least a car length, every race.
The second place car belonged to a man with access to a machine
shop and
experienced metal workers. He kept telling me he'd gone through
about 20
axles trying to get them right. He finally asked me how many I'd
used. I
just smiled and said those were my only four. I also heard how many
wheels
he had gone through to get those right, and know my purchase was
money much
better spent. Again I smiled when he asked how many, and said these
were
the only four I had. I'm sorry to not send more business your way,
but I
didn't tell him the secret. We've still got two more races against
him
before my son graduates to Boy Scouts.
Attached are two pictures of our winning car. One is the car, the
other is
one of the closer finishes. Ours never lost a race,
and I know the axles
and wheels deserve a lion's share of the credit.
Thank you,
Kevin and Kyle |
