BSA Polished AXLES

No need to sand, debur, file and polish your axles.
We did the hard part for you.

Burrs removed on axle shaft

• You must remove these burrs or they will grind inside the wheel bore.

Crimp marks removed from underside of head

• Crimp marks must be removed or they will grind into your wheel, like ABS brakes!

Nail head is cut back at an angle

• Angling the head reduces friction where the head meets the wheel.

Polished

• The nail is then polished to remove imperfections. However, these nails are not as good as our Speed Axles above...we recommend a light polishing using our axle polishing kit below to get maximum performance.

This Pinewood Derby Axle polishing kit contains five BSA axles, black wet-or-dry sandpaper, pumice and full instructions with pictures for polishing your axles to a mirror finish.

If you don't buy one of our pre-polished axles sets, axle polishing is a must or your car will not be competitive!

We also recommend this kit for our BSA axles that are lathed and polished but this kit will reduce friction even further to bring your BSA axles to a mirror finish.

BSA Pinewood Derby Wheels lathed to perfection. Our lathing process makes these wheels precision tuned while removing .6g weight giving you a fast start and fast rolling all the way to the winners circle!

• All BSA markings remain
• Mold matched set of four
• Outside tread is trued to be perfectly concentric without removing beads.
• Material is removed from inside the wheel, while leaving all lettering in place.
• Weight is reduced by .6g to give you a fast start.
• Hub is squared so wheel rests squarely on the car when it touches. This corrects the rounded hub in the new wheels that could result in wobble when wheels hit car body.

Our PRO Ultra-Lite wheels have all the advantages of our PRO Ultra-Lite wheels with the added advantage of a graphite-coating on the ouside tread in wheel hub! All BSA markings in tact. Precision lathed treads, hubs, outside rim, underside of tread, squared hubs, lighter weight, mold matched, then treads and hubs are graphite-coated using our patented process.
