PRO Driller Tool
Straight Axles = Greater Speed
For maximum speed, axle holes must be absolutely square to the pinewood derby car body and parallel to each other.
With the PRO Driller Tool, you can easily create new, straight axle holes or accurately align your axle slots with only a hand drill.
Includes optional guide holes to raise a wheel.
A perfectly sized 2.2mm drill bit and Instructions are included.

PRO Axle Puller and Inserter Tool
Insert and Remove Axles Without Damage
How do you cleanly insert axles into those tight slots?
How to remove stuck axles without damaging your wheels?
One end of this handy Tool easily glides your axles into the slot.
The other end is used to easily grip the axle head and gently pull it out.
The Axle Inserter and Puller Tool is essential if you are using Ultra-Lite wheels which can be damaged when pulling them in and out.Instructions
PRO Axle Puller
Wheel Spacer Gauge
If your wheels are too tight, your car slows dramatically. If they are too loose, your car wobbles, also slowing your car down.
The Wheel Spacer Tool is a stainless steel "feeler gauge" that sets the exact spacing between your wheel hub and car body so your car runs at optimal speed.
Just slide the Wheel Spacer over your axle and push the axle in until it is snug against the Wheel Spacer. Remove, and voila, perfect spacing.
The Wheel Spacer tool makes this critical adjustment fast, easy and perfect, every time.
Consider our complementary tool, the Axle Puller and Inserter, to insert your axles easily. One end is used to insert and the other end is used to remove axles without damaging your wheels (or your fingers!).

Axle Press Tool
Unfortunately, the nails used for axles with many car kits were designed for fastening, not for use as axles. Although they look straight, most nail axles have a slight bend, are slightly out of round, and the nail head is not square to the axle shaft.
The Axle Press will create absoloutely straight axles and absolutely round axles. It can also be used to square the axle head to the axle shaft.
Build the perfect axles with the Axle Press Tool.

Rail Rider Tool
Got a test track? Try this!
The Rail Rider Tool bends your axles to make your car rub against the center guide rail, or 'ride the rail.'
The Rail Rider technique is used to make one front wheel "ride the rail" thereby rolling straight down the track. Tests have proven this technique to yield superior speed over a car that hits the rail, comes off, hits again, etc.
Note: this technique is best done if you have a track to perform the tests required to get the car to gently ride the rails, rather than driving it into the rails.
IMPORTANT: This tool requires the Axle Press Tool, which is sold seperately. You must have both tools.

PRO Wheel Mandrel
Polished Wheel = Greater Speed
The easiest way to make your wheels perfectly round and smooth is to mount each wheel on our mandrel then use a drill to spin the wheel while holding it lightly against a sandpaper block.
PRO Wheel Mandrel Tool
PRO Bore Polisher
Polished Wheel Bore = Greater Speed
Use the PRO Bore Polishing Kit to polish and graphite-coat your wheel bores. This quick, easy technique is proven to improve car speed by reducing friction between the wheel and axle inside the wheel bore. No specialty tool needed here; just your drill

Tips & Hints
Tungsten Putty is ideal for getting your car up to the maximum 5 oz limit. Drill a hole in the bottom of your car and insert Pinewood Pro Putty as the last step to bring your car to 5.0 oz. If the official scale weighs you in at 5.1 oz, simply remove a small amount of putty to bring it back to 5.0 oz.
When lubing your wheels and axles, shoot graphite powder into the wheel bore, spin your wheels, and repeat. Do this over newspaper in your garage or outside the house.
Put a coat of wood primer on your car before painting it because pine wood is porous and will absorb the first coat of paint. Lightly sand the primer after it dries, then apply a final coat (or two) for a clean, finished look.
This was my 7-year-old's first Pinewood Derby and he won 1st! We followed your Winning Pinewood Derby Secrets and his car smoked other the cars by 4-5 car lengths each race. Thanks again.
We placed an amazing 2nd out of 28 cars. We only lost to first place by half an inch. Our car ran consistently all night. We won 2nd place overall! You will be our first stop next year!
One of my girls won the "girls fav" car which was picked by all the girl scouts as their fav. Thanks

This will be my 3rd year ordering from you. This year I have an 8 year old son, a ten year old son, and my 12 year old daughter's young women group is also doing the pinewood derby. We are still undefeated – Last year we purchased your wheels and axles and won 1st place again, 2 years running!
